Our roots trace back to 1992, when we began as The Best Leather Vest, creating custom-made leather garments and home accessories for retail partners across Texas. From handcrafted chaps, vests, and jackets to pillows, purses, and bedspreads, our early years were defined by hands-on production, close relationships with retailers, and an uncompromising approach to quality.

In 2004, Texas Leather Goods was formally established, marking our transition into the wholesale leather market. What began with a modest inventory of $1,200, operated from an apartment and a one-car garage, quickly evolved through dedication, consistency, and trust earned over time.

By 2015, we proudly moved into our current 18,000-square-foot facility, housing both our offices and warehouse—an important milestone that reflected years of steady growth and long-term commitment to our customers.

Today, Texas Leather Goods is recognized as a leading distributor in the Mid and Southwest regions of the United States, offering an extensive selection of premium leather products. Our inventory includes hair-on cowhides, smooth upholstery leather, embossed leather, and hair-on accessories, carefully sourced to meet the needs of professionals and creators alike.

What began as a focused mission—to become a premier distributor of hair-on cowhides—naturally expanded as our customers’ needs evolved. Increased access to global tanneries, larger-volume sourcing, and long-standing industry relationships allowed us to broaden our offerings. This evolution enabled us to serve not only retailers, but also furniture manufacturers, designers, upholstery workshops, and accessory and apparel makers.
